Dennis Novak siegt im Österreicher-Duell
Im ersten rein österreichischen Finale beim ITF Junior Open konnte sich der an Position 4 gesetzte Niederösterreicher Dennis Novak gegen den topgesetzten Klagenfurter Patrick Ofner mit 5-7 6-4 6-3 durchsetzten.
Erst zum zweiten Mal (Andreas Posavac, 1995) konnte ein Österreicher den Titel im Burschen Einzel holen und so den Heimvorteil für sich nutzen.
Durch den Sieg von Dennis Novak werden am kommenden Dienstag erstmals wieder drei Österreicher (Thiem, Ofner, Novak) unter den besten 25 Jugendlichen der Welt aufscheinen!
Klara Fabikova gewinnt Mädchen Einzel
Die an Position 7 gesetzte Tschechin gewinnt den Mädchen Bewerb des ITF Junior Open in Linz gegen die US-Amerikanerin Alexandra Kiick mit 3-6 6-2 6-1.
Nach schwachem Start (0:4) kämpfte sich die 18-jährige Brünnerin ins Match und dominierte ab Satz 2 ihre Gegnerin.
Neben dem Titel in Linz wird sie auch eine Wild Card für die Qualifikation des Generali Ladies erhalten, was zugleich den ersten Punkt für die WTA Damen Weltrangliste bedeutet.
Aslan Karatsev verteidigt Doppeltitel erfolgreich!
Der Russe Aslan Karatsev war auch mit seinem neuen Partner, dem Israeli Igor Smilansky beim ITF Junior Open im Burschen Doppel nicht zu schlagen. Mit einem 7-5 2-6 [10:8] Erfolg über Herkko Pollanen (FIN) / Maciej Romanowicz sicherte sich der Russe auch im heurigen Jahr den Titel im Burschen Doppel!
OSTAPENKO /SHARIFOVA gewinnen Mädchen Doppel
Die Lettin Jelena Ostapenko und die Russin Ksenija Sharifova haben sich in einem äußerst spannenden und knappen Endspiel den Doppeltitel beim Junior Open 2011 mit einem 3-6 6-4 [10:8] gesichert.
Tereza Smitkova, die heuer an der Seite von Natalia Vajdova (SVK) an den Start ging, konnte somit ihren Titel aus dem Vorjahr nicht verteidigen.
Generali Ladies offers QU-WC for Winner Girls Singles
Sandra Reichel, TD of the WTA $220.000 Event Generali Ladies in Linz, has agreed to offer a Wild Card for the Qualifying Event to the ITF Junior Open Champion of Girls Singles.
The tournament will take place from Oct 8 throu Oct 16, 2011. Defending Champion: Ana Ivanovic (SRB). Tournament Website: www.generali-ladies.at

Following the successful implementation of Junior IPIN and Junior Tournament Planner (TP) in 2010 the ITF will launch the third stage of digitalisation of the ITF Junior Circuit, the ONLINE Entries and Withdrawals.

Henri Laaksonen has won the boy singles title in Linz. At the 15th Felbermayr Junior Open the regning European champion 16u defeated Frenchman Mick Lescure 7/6(3) 6/3 to become the first Finn to win this tournament
GIRLS SINGLES
No 6 seeded Yulia Putinseva from Russia clinches the girls singles titel at the 15th Felbermayr Junior Open after a straight set victory over No 9 seed Elina Svitolina from the Ukraine.
GIRLS DOUBLES
Lidziya Marozava & Polina Pekhova (BLR) win the Girls Doubles at the 15th ITF Junior Open defeating Cindy Burger (NED) / Noel Scott (USA) 64 63.
BOYS DOUBLES
Topseeded Sebastian Lavie (NZL) & Renzo Olivio (ARG) gain the boys doubles title at the G1 in Linz defeating the Hungarian Team of Marton Fucsovics & Mate Zsiga 64 64.
